Our New Life in Brooklyn

Our arrival and requisite settling in Brooklyn, NY has introduced us to a new microcosm of the indie music/service/hipster experience that promises endless networking, inspiration and opportunity and yet feels oddly familiar, due to our years of rotation in the Seattle/Capitol Hill scene.

We’ve both found work at Miller’s Tavern, a fantastic neighborhood restaurant in Williamsburg, where we’ve met many a like-mind and served some seriously delicious brunch, dinner, cocktails and the always addictive Stumptown coffee (including Cold Brew). We invite you to stop in anytime. We’ve found an apartment near close friends in the East Williamsburg/Bushwick area and feel ridiculously thankful to have been supported (ie hosted for 6 weeks) by said friends, while we established footing.

There is a contagious momentum here that forces one to stay focused on the dream. The air is alive with the hope and determination of an assortment of competitively talented individuals, who are in effect all participating in channeling that energy into a spiral of chaotic, exhilarating motion. Regardless of where we end up professionally, it’s enough for now, to celebrate our artistic endevors and bohemian lifestyle with the many who dare the risky attempt at realizing their dream in this concrete jungle.
